Chicago Bears WR Rome Odunze has a hamstring injury.
On Saturday, Day 2 of their rookie minicamp, the Chicago Bears practiced with three draft picks, one of them is a punter. Rome Odunze, the ninth-round pick by the Bears, did not participate in practice on Saturday.
A couple of Chicago Bears rookies are dealing with injuries
Kiran Amegadjie, an offensive tackle, was known to have a quad issue when he was picked by the Bears. It was announced to media on Friday by head coach Matt Eberflus that Amegadjie would miss the May and June OTAs. He should return for training camp in late July, according to the Bears.
Rome Odunze missed Saturday’s practice
ESPN’s Courtney Cronin reports that Oduze missed practice on Saturday because of stiff hamstrings.
When Odunze is expected to return to practice is unknown for the Bears. The Bears will practice on May 20th (for the optional portion of OTAs).
The Bears only had three draft picks practicing on Saturday
The only April draft selections for the Bears that took part in Saturday’s practice were punter Tory Taylor, defensive end Austin Booker, and quarterback Caleb Williams. On Saturday morning, Taylor, the fourth-round selection of the Bears, was formally signed to a rookie contract.
