Exclusive: ‘Huge’ update regarding Gibbs-White and Nottingham Forest

According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Nottingham Forest will need to pay a “huge” price in order to approve a transfer for Morgan Gibbs-White this summer.

Nottingham Forest confirm transfer of Morgan Gibbs-White for club ...

Senior writer Pete O’Rourke stated on the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that Gibbs-White will need to get a bid of at least £50 million to £60 million in order to leave the team.

With a contract that expires in 2027, the 24-year-old has been crucial to the Reds this season as they fight for a spot in the Premier League.

When the transfer window reopens, O’Rourke disclosed that Newcastle United and Tottenham are preparing an effort to sign the attacking midfield player.

If the team is obliged to balance the books as a result of their financial fair play concerns, the former England youth international is probably their most marketable asset.

Morgan Gibbs-White could leave Nottingham Forest

In terms of transfers, Forest may have a challenging summer even if they are able to maintain their Premier League standing for another year.

On May 5, Football Insider disclosed that they would have to let go of defender Murillo due to heightened interest from a number of elite teams in recent times.

Given that Gibbs-White has contributed five goals and eight assists this season despite his team’s Premier League troubles, his story may be similar for him.

The Reds’ 3-1 victory over Sheffield United on May 4th gave them a huge boost to their survival aspirations as the offensive midfielder once again proved his mettle.

It might be challenging to retain Gibbs-White at the City Ground for a another season, though, if he receives an opportunity to play European football this summer.

In other developments, an expert claims that Nottingham Forest is making PSR the “scapegoat” for a recent development.
