Bad News As: Braves fans will be driven to tears by Ronald Acuña Jr.’s words……

Braves fans will be moved to tears by Ronald Acuña Jr.’s statements regarding his horrific injury.

Ronald Acuña Jr., an Atlanta Braves star, suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Pittsburgh over a week ago. While we’ve heard from his teammates, Thursday marked the first time he spoke to the media since the announcement.

Atlanta Braves Star Ronald Acuna Jr. Suffers Devastating Injury

It’s a heartbreaking injury for the 2023 National League MVP, who endured the same ailment to his right knee just three years before. Braves fans may recall hearing last year that the young superstar’s first injury was so painful that he cried every day throughout recovery.

Unfortunately, having suffered an ACL tear before does not make the second recovery any easier, and the words he made on Thursday were heartbreaking to hear and read.

Ronald Acuña Jr.’s devastating statements on his ACL injury

The 26-year-old outfielder praised fans for their amazing support, claiming it had left him crying at home alone.

He then stated, “I feel like I’m leaving the squad. It feels like I’m letting everyone down.”

Acuña Jr. stated that the team does not need him to win the World Series. Spencer Strider, the team’s ace, similarly mentioned this after he went down with a season-ending UCL injury, but Acuña’s message is even more painful because that’s precisely what happened in 2021.

After Acuña’s ACL injury in 2021, Braves GM Alex Anthopoulos converted the team into a playoff contender by adding four outfielders to replace the marquee player.

Atlanta won the World Series for the first time since 1995, with Acuña cheering from the sidelines.

We wish Acuña a swift and easy recovery. His surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday in Los Angeles, and he will stay there for a month to heal.

The slugger has stated that he intends to encourage his teammates after he returns from surgery and begins his recuperation. While it is admirable, it is difficult to know that he will not be able to help Atlanta achieve its ultimate aim of capturing a third World Series title.

Acuña has a large support group, Braves Country, which can help him persevere during difficult times.
