However, during the 2011-12 season, Jeremy Lin briefly became the team’s most popular player (Anthony was injured when Lin began his phenomenal one-month run).

In a recent episode of his podcast (7PM In Brooklyn), Anthony discussed the “Linsanity” run.

Anthony: “Linsanity might have grossed $100 million. Easy. A $100 million enterprise. I’m trying to get this over to him. He was like, ‘no, I’m not bought up on that, my folks.’ But I respected it. I’ve heard that. Bring your parents here so we can chat to them. “It was so quick.”

Lin appeared out of nowhere, and the entire NBA world was watching his every move.

Lin was a solid point guard for nine seasons but never made it to the All-Star game.

In addition to the Knicks, he formerly played for the Houston Rockets, Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, and Toronto Raptors.

In 480 regular season games, he has averaged 11.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 43.3% from the field and 34.2% from three.

He also played in 25 NBA playoff games (three starts), winning the title with the Raptors in 2019.
