Brewers’ William Contreras goes viral with hilarious item he signed for fan.
William Contreras appears to be much cooler in person than on social media.
Contreras, the Milwaukee Brewers catcher, went viral over the weekend after signing a precious item for a Brewers fan at a recent signing session. The fan presented a screenshot of Contreras blocking them on X, which they had printed off. Contreras smiled and signed the printout for the fan, saying, “That’s a good one.”
That had to be a first for Contreras, and for any professional athlete, period. That lends new meaning to the phrase “keeping the receipts.”
Contreras, an All-Star and World Series winner for the Atlanta Braves, has found a home in Milwaukee since being moved there following the 2022 season. He won the Silver Slugger Award as a Brewer last season and currently leads the team with a.340 hitting average and.960 OPS. Contreras has also developed a bond with Milwaukee supporters, who can be harsh on both opposing and home team players.
