Alan Shearer and Micah Richards impressed with what Gary Lineker told them about Everton.
Alan Shearer and Micah Richards praised Sean Dyche after Everton beat Sheffield United at Goodison Park.
Despite the points deductions, the Toffees secured Premier League safety with plenty of time still.
Dyche has received numerous excellent assessments, despite the fact that he was not allowed much leeway to make a difference in the transfer market.
Gary Lineker revealed on Match of the Day (11 May) that Everton would finish 11th in the Premier League without points deductions.
Shearer heaped admiration on the manager, saying: “What a job he’s done this season, Sean Dyche, in really difficult circumstances, a brilliant job.”
Richards was likewise amazed, merely commenting, “Remarkable.”
How has Sean Dyche done with Everton?
There is no dispute about Dyche’s efforts to keep Everton in the Premier League since joining the club in January last year.
His job as manager of the Toffees has been excellent, which is accentuated by the points deductions levied against him.
An initial deduction appeared to spur them on, resulting in a four-game winning streak in December 2023.
A second arrived in April 2024, and it appeared to ignite the Toffees into life, culminating in their Premier League survival.
The icing on the cake was a win over Liverpool, as Dyche’s side scored excellent results against teams in and around them in the relegation battle.
This has all been accomplished after only signing Beto and Yousef Chermiti for money over the summer, making the task all the more spectacular.
