Crystal Palace is very close to signing a trialist from West Ham
After a productive trial period, Crystal Palace is getting close to signing 18-year-old Jemiah Umolu, a West Ham trialist.
According to information obtained by The South London Press, Umolu will sign a two-year contract at Selhurst Park.
In the Premier League International Cup semi-final matchup between Darren Powell’s U21 team and Everton, Umolu not only scored but also provided two assists, securing the Eagles’ spot in the final against Jong PSV.
The striker, who has made 15 U18 appearances for West Ham this season with 11 goals and 4 assists, also went on trial at Southampton.
Ademola Ola-Adebomi’s loan move to Burton Albion for the second half of the season left Darren Powell’s team lacking a physical presence at the top of the pitch. Umolu would fill that role.
