Bracket Watch: The top seeds ahead of the first CFP rankings are Oregon, Georgia, Miami, and BYU.

The Associated Press College Football Playoff bracket, which is the last one before the CFP reveals its first rankings of the season, showed Oregon, Georgia, Miami, and BYU as the top four seeds on Sunday.

Over the weekend, Oregon, Georgia, and Miami secured their desired seeds as the conference’s presumptive winners, while BYU remained inactive.

The Big Ten and SEC now have four teams each in the field ahead of Tuesday night’s CFP rankings thanks to Indiana’s first placement on the bracket.

Indiana, the ninth seed, would face No. 8 Tennessee in the opening round after breaking into the top 10 of the AP poll for the first time. As the No. 11 seed, Alabama made a comeback to the bracket and would play No. 6 Texas.
Please note the format: Regardless of their overall rating, the highest-ranked conference champions receive the top four seeding. Regardless of league, the top five conference winners are assured of a position in the field. The maximum number of teams from a single conference is unlimited.
