Let’s face it, we all hate surprises while on vacation, especially when it comes to added costs. Carnival Cruise Line does a decent job of warning passengers in advance about expensive mistakes.
Other cruise lines have used questionable tactics, which have caused quite a stir among cruisers. Take Norwegian Cruise Line, who is currently under fire for constantly making schedule changes without announcing them. The changes usually come after a payment is processed, and without much of an explanation.
Although Carnival does offer helpful tips, there was one recent fee that caught guests by surprise, especially given that it is usually complimentary by cruise lines.
