In an unexpected turn of events, former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin has rejoined the band for their upcoming Bangkok concert on May 13, 2025, at Thunder Dome Stadium. This marks a rare public appearance by Stradlin, who has maintained a low profile in recent years.
Stradlin, a founding member of Guns N’ Roses, co-wrote many of the band’s early hits, including tracks from their seminal 1987 album Appetite for Destruction. Despite his significant contributions, Stradlin left the band in 1991 and has since made only sporadic appearances with them, such as during their Las Vegas residency in 2012 and a London show that same year .
The reunion comes after years of speculation and previous public statements from Stradlin regarding his absence from the band’s reunion tours. In 2016, he cited disagreements over financial arrangements as a reason for not participating in the “Not In This Lifetime” tour .
