Cincoro Tequila has acquired distribution in important APAC regions such as Hong Kong, Macau, China, Korea, Japan, and Australia through an agreement with Hong Kong-based distributor Eclipse Beverages. The distributor, voted Asia’s Drinks Company of the Year 2024, will also provide stock hubbing services for the brand from Shenzhen, China. Cincoro managing director – worldwide Quentin Job stated that the Tequila brand has “great aspirations for the Asia Pacific region”. He said:“We’re thrilled to partner with Eclipse Beverages as we felt they offered a unique offering in the market with exceptional regional expertise, on the ground distribution in key markets like China, South Korea, and more, plus their in-house digital and marketing capabilities.”
Jordan founded Cincoro Tequila in 2019 alongside four other former NBA players: Jeanie Buss of the Los Angeles Lakers, Wes Edens of the Milwaukee Bucks, Emilia Fazzalari, and Wyc Grousbeck of the Boston Celtics. In March, the basketball icon announced plans to expand the brand globally. Jordan has added his “closest friends” to the roster of co-owners to help fuel international expansion, including tennis champion Serena Williams and former Yankee Derek Jeter.
Cincoro has formed a collaboration with Italian football giant AC Milan, after the announcement of its global expansion intentions earlier this year. As part of the agreement, Cincoro will be served at San Siro stadium events. Cincoro Tequila’s multi-level agreement with Eclipse Beverages will help to boost its growth in APAC countries. The company has also declared plans to grow into other European areas, including the United Kingdom, France, Greece, and Spain.
Cincoro Tequila is created from mature 100% Blue Weber agaves harvested from both the Highlands and Lowlands of Jalisco, Mexico. All of the brand’s Tequilas start with Cincoro Blanco and are then matured in Tennessee whiskey barrels. The Tequila series includes four different expressions, each with a high price tag. The bottles range in price from US$70 for Blanco (unaged) to $1,600 for Extra Añejo (aged 40-44 months).
