The elder guard of the United States men’s basketball team rallied back to defeat Serbia and go to the 2024 Olympic Games basketball championship, and LeBron James’ message to Steph Curry quickly went viral online.
Serbia led by 17 points at one stage, with Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic appearing to pull off a miracle, but a 32-15 scoreline saw Steve Kerr’s USA come back from behind to face France.
The Golden State Warriors’ Curry scored 36 points, while LeBron scored a triple-double (16-12-10), and the Los Angeles Lakers’ star’s battle cry quickly went viral online following the 95-91 victory.
“One more.. one f—ing more,” James told his squad. “We knew we were going to be tested in this f—ing competition.
“Motherf**kin’ Chef and Joe [Curry and Joel Embiid], you two mother**kers carried us tonight. “One more goddammit.”
The United States has now won all of its games, but this was the first time they were genuinely tested and had to dig deep to pull the rabbit out of the hat.
