Important events in July for the Alabama Crimson Tide, with significant announcements anticipated

College football resumes in January. It won’t be long before the lengthy offseason is over—just a few weeks. For Alabama Football, this offseason has been unique—one that many of us had unreasonably thought would never arrive.
Alabama is still Alabama, despite some Crimson Tide supporters’ initial anxiety and the national media’s fervor for an Alabama defeat.
The official report date for Alabama football players for the 2024 season is July 30. On July 31, Fall Camp will start the next day. The weekend before to Camp starts is when the yearly Crimson Tide Cookout takes place. Before beginning the last preseason practice going into a new season, the Alabama football staff traditionally makes a significant recruiting push. There is currently no list of Cookout attendees available.
A significant day is approaching for committed and recruits of Alabama football. On3 will make available its most recent player rankings for the 2025 class on July 8. It looks like the Alabama Crimson Tide will have a successful day. There is an expectation that the player ranking of seven or more current Alabama football recruits will increase. Below is a list of the seven players, including AK Dear, a strong prospect and previous Ole Miss commit.
Alabama Football: Recruiting and Commitment Actions

No. 55 (On3); No. 34 (247) for quarterback Keelon Russell is a 4-star player. Presumably, the commit from Alabama will receive a significant boost—possibly ranking as a 5-star.
AK Please find attached the 4-star RB No. 36 (on3) and 4-star No. 32 (247). Dear might get a rating increase to a five star. All agree that Alabama is the frontrunner to win him.

The 4-star ratings for Kaleb Edwards, TE, are 140 (On3) and 159 (247). Will the most recent Crimson Tide commit receive what the Saban years referred to as a “Bama Bump”?
3-star, No. 418 (On3); 3-star, No. 487 (247); Lotzier Brooks, WR. If Brooks receives the biggest boost in the 2025 class, don’t be shocked. Verbal commit in Alabama
Luke Metz, linebacker; 3-star, No. 639 (247); 4-star, No. 361 (On3). Nearly a surefire major advancement for Metz. Verbal commit in Alabama
Another July note: many recruiting insiders anticipate 5-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham will pledge to the Alabama Crimson Tide at some point in July, even if the precise date is unknown.
