Following her incredible feat of WNBA history on Saturday, rookie guard Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever acknowledged the crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for contributing to their historic victory over the New York Liberty.
Clark made history that day by becoming the first rookie to ever achieve a triple-double, and Indiana won their ninth game of the season by defeating the top WNBA team.
Speaking to supporters following the game, Clark stated that they were largely responsible for her club’s victory over the league’s best squad.
To the thunderous applause of Fever supporters present for Saturday’s historic triumph, Clark said, “I don’t know if we would have won without you, so we appreciate [the support].”
This was such a lovely way to encourage Clark after such a significant occasion for her and her team.
