The Atlanta Braves have just lost to the weakest team in the majors and a series loss in St. Louis. Next up, the Braves play three games against the Pittsburgh Pirates to begin a homestand.
At 44-35 going into the game, the Braves are eight games behind the leaders in the division. With a 39-41 record, the Pirates are ranked third in the NL Central.
Over the course of the weekend, Charlie Morton, Max Fried, and Spencer Schwellenbach are all expected to start. The Pirates are starting rookie Paul Skenes in Saturday’s game, which makes it the most noteworthy pitching matchup of the season.
At 7:20 ET tonight, the series gets underway, and maybe the Braves will end their two-game losing run.
