Mark Hendry, Deputy Editor, SPFL Bookmark 13:46, 13 APR 2024UPDATED 13:58, 13 APR 2024Celtic Scores, Stats and Highlights - ESPNBrendan Rodgers was aware that he wouldn’t have Daizen Maeda or Liam Scales available for this weekend’s Premiership match against St Mirren.

During the pre-match news conference, the Celtic manager disclosed that Maeda, the Japanese attacker, may miss the rest of the season due to a major hamstring problem. Prior to a timeline being proposed for Maeda’s absence, medical tests must be conducted. This freed up space on the wing for the manager to fill, and his starting lineup for this afternoon gave supporters an idea of the boss’s thinking

Scales, meanwhile, has been a standout center-half this season. He started before summer transfer additions, but he will be absent for the Paisley game and has also had to be replaced.
