The Orlando Pirates are reportedly far from done, having already let go of six players.
The Pirates have identified their attacking department as a priority and are looking to rebuild their roster.
In a span of two weeks, pirates freed Souaibou Marou, Fortune Makaringe, Kermit Erasmus, Richard Ofori, Thabang Monare, and Siyabonga Mpontshane. These are the players whose contracts have expired because the club’s management believes they are surplus to requirements. There are still players under contract with the Houghton-based team that could be traded, loaned out, or have their contracts cancelled.

However, a number of other players have been mentioned as leaving the Pirates before the upcoming season. These players may include younger members of the squad that the team may view as future assets. Conversely, it’s also possible that the team is attempting to capitalize on more seasoned players.
Suddenly, Soccer-Laduma implies that Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, a small midfielder, may not be playing for the Pirates in the future!
For him, it’s a tight position (Ndlondlo). His future is truly in jeopardy because the Pirates are considering making roster changes for the upcoming campaign. They are negotiating a loan arrangement with him till the end of his contract in June of the following year. Alternatively, this year he might be involved in a permanent relocation. Clubs are also interested in him, but it’s too soon to make any statements at this point. However, his future is very debatable, according to a source who spoke with the publication.
NEXT NDLONDLO?
Ndlondlo may be participating in “trials” during their preseason trip to Spain, according to a second source.
“They (the pirates) won’t decide until they’ve finalized the new arrivals, which might happen after they get back from Europe. Let’s wait till they return at the end of July, at which point everything will become evident. Indeed, Ndlondlo’s future is currently in jeopardy. As a player, he is in a limbo,” the source claimed.
