Luke Ayling’s departure from Leeds was effectively confirmed in January, when a tearful announcement of his loan move to Middlesbrough was made, joining Michael Carrick’s side for the second half of the season.
He obviously made an impression with eight assists, and he has already secured a permanent deal at the Riverside for the 24/25 season.
Ayling has signed a two-year contract with the Teessiders that will keep him there until 2026.
