With veteran nose tackle Michael Pierce and third-year defensive lineman Rayshad Nichols out for Organized Team Activities, the Baltimore Ravens strengthened their defensive line with two experienced signings on Tuesday. Deadrin Senat, defensive tackle, and Josh Tupou, nose tackle, have joined the 90-man roster.

Tupou will remain in the AFC North after spending the first seven years of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, where he joined after going undrafted out of the University of Colorado in 2017. The 6-foot-3, 340-pound roadblock has appeared in at least 11 games in each of the last four seasons, totaling 24 career starts, including the postseason. In 70 career games, he has 92 tackles, six for a loss, five quarterback hits, two sacks, and one forced fumble.

Senat is 6-foot-1 and weighs 305 pounds. He most recently played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he spent the previous two seasons bouncing between the practice squad and the main roster. He spent his first three years in the league with the Atlanta Falcons after being selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft from the University of South Florida. Senat made two starts in 37 career games, totaling 52 tackles, four for a loss, one sack, six quarterback hits, and one fumble recovery.

The Ravens had one roster space vacant after releasing defensive lineman Bravvion Roy last week, and they made more room Tuesday by removing defensive tackle Ja’Mion Franklin with an injury designation.
