Former Chicago Bulls player shares shocking Jimmy Butler story.

Jimmy Butler is considered as one of the NBA’s most outspoken players. He isn’t reluctant to criticize players or coaches and has a no-holds barred approach. However, that mentality has a flip side and can result in some quite combustible occasions.

Former NBA Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams played with Jimmy Butler on the Chicago Bulls in 2016-17 and had an incredible anecdote to tell about him. Carter-Williams claimed on Thanasis Antetokounmpo’s Thanalysis Show podcast that Butler had called out then-Chicago Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg.

Carter-Williams began his story by stating that the wildest season he’d ever had was with the Chicago Bulls. He complained about the locker room and Jimmy Butler’s dislike for coach Fred Hoiberg. Butler described him as “soft.”

“‘One, I believe you are soft. Two, I do not like you.’ “He didn’t even reach three,” Carter-Williams said.

According to Carter-Williams, Hoiberg then yelled Jimmy Butler “f**k you” and got into an altercation with Butler.

The Chicago Bulls ended the 2016-17 season 41-41, falling short of expectations. The roster included Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo, Nikola Mirotic, Robin Lopez, and Taj Gibson. The club ultimately lost 4-2 in the first round to the Boston Celtics.
