Steven Tyler Showers Praises on Guns N Roses “They are the greatest band of all time I remember at maddison square garden their…”

In a recent interview, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler didn’t hold back when it came to expressing his admiration for fellow rock legends Guns N’ Roses. Tyler, known for his electrifying stage presence and raw vocal power, called Guns N’ Roses “the greatest band of all time,” citing their unmatched energy, musicality, and cultural impact.

“I remember being at Madison Square Garden when they played there in the early ‘90s,” Tyler recalled. “It was chaos in the best possible way. The crowd was wild, the energy was electric, and Axl just had this fire—you couldn’t take your eyes off him. Slash was tearing through solos like nothing I’d ever seen. I stood backstage just shaking my head. I thought, ‘Damn, this is what rock and roll is all about.’”

Tyler, whose own band Aerosmith helped shape hard rock in the ‘70s and beyond, said he sees a kindred spirit in Guns N’ Roses. “They brought danger back to rock music at a time when things were getting too polished,” he explained. “They had this rawness, this grit—it was beautiful. And the songwriting! ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine,’ ‘Welcome to the Jungle,’ ‘November Rain’—those songs are eternal.”

While Tyler is no stranger to praise himself, he was quick to shift the spotlight. “I’ve seen a lot of bands come and go, but there’s only one Guns N’ Roses. They had that magic—the kind that comes around maybe once in a generation. You can’t fake that. You can’t manufacture it.”

The admiration is mutual; members of Guns N’ Roses have often credited Aerosmith as a major influence. But Tyler’s heartfelt tribute shows just how deep the respect runs between rock’s titans. “Rock and roll isn’t dead,” he said with a grin. “Not as long as bands like Guns N’ Roses still echo through the halls of Madison Square Garden.”
